SANDY CHENG

Communications Coordinator

Sandy Cheng is a Taiwanese-born, Los Angeles–based curator, art nonprofit professional, and arts administrator. She currently serves as Communications Coordinator at The Nicholson Project, where she works closely with the Managing Director to shape and implement the organization’s digital communications strategy. Her role includes coordinating digital residency programs, managing social media, and overseeing the organization’s presence on the Bloomberg Connects app, ensuring cohesive, accessible, and engaging public-facing communications.

Drawing from her transnational background, Sandy’s work is informed by an ongoing interest in cultural displacement, identity, and the structural disparities that shape lived experience, as well as how artists translate global cultural influences into their practices. She holds a BFA in Visual Arts and Design from the National University of Tainan and an MFA in Curatorial Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Previously, she served as Operations and Exhibition Coordinator at Hamiltonian Artists in Washington, DC; Interim Exhibition and Programming Associate at the George Washington University Corcoran School of the Arts and Design; and was a 2023 ArtTable Fellow at Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art.
